Red-crowned Cranes, Snow Monkeys, Stellar Sea Eagles, Blakiston’s Fish Owl and more

In winter, Japan is home to many spectacular wildlife photography experiences. Snow monkeys (Japanese macaques) bask in hot springs in Nagano’s snowy environs. On the northern island of Hokkaido, Red-crowned Cranes perform their elaborate courtship dances in the snow, and Stellar Sea Eagles arrive with the pack ice drifting in from the Sea of Okhotsk. Hokkaido is also home to the largest owl species, Blakiston’s Fish Owl, Whooper Swans, Sika deer, Ezo fox, and more.

This trip will depart in February of 2025.
