Mike Wardynski

Mike Wardynski is a fine art nature photographer and photography educator based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. His photography focuses on wildlife, landscapes, horses, and the natural world’s simple beauty.

Mike brings more than two decades of photography and printmaking experience to Akari Photo Tours. His background gives him a strong understanding of light, composition, mood, and how field decisions affect the final image.

Guests will appreciate most about traveling with Mike his calm, thoughtful teaching style. He helps photographers slow down, simplify busy scenes, choose cleaner backgrounds, and make stronger creative decisions before pressing the shutter.

Mike is especially good at helping photographers move beyond simply documenting what they see. He teaches people how to create images with balance, purpose, and feeling. Whether you are still learning your camera or looking to refine your visual style, Mike’s approach will help you become a stronger photographer.

Mike is patient, approachable, technically strong, and focused on the guest experience. His goal is to help photographers come home with better images and skills they can keep using long after the workshop ends.
