Find Your Next Photography Trip

Lavender, Camargue horses, and so much more! I realize you can’t predict the exact timing of the lavender bloom, but we caught it at the peak of the season! I’ve waited several years to see Camargue horses, and they were incredible. We had wonderful opportunities to photograph the horses and guardians on the move over land and water. It was a fantastic experience! What I didn’t expect was the chance to wander through the old cities of Province, enjoy incredible local meals, history and shopping! It was so much more than I’d hoped to see. I saw areas of France (with a local French speaking guide) I would not have ever seen had I not decided to take the tour. Overall it’s wonderful adventure and I highly recommend this tour!

If you have a chance to take the Akari tour to Mongolia, don't hesitate! The Naadam Festival opening ceremony rivals the Olympics. The huge number of cultural opportunities to photograph is wonderful. Kevin and David's willingness to take advantage of new opportunities as they arise during the tour creates many great photo shoots. The close relationship with one eagle hunter family (nurtured over many years) make it feel like you are staying with a family, not just a tourist opportunity. If you are interested in eagle hunters, cultural photography and seeing the pride of a nation, then this is the tour for you. Don't hesitate to sign up!

Traveling with Mindy and James was great, low stress and easy going, much like traveling with Kevin and Kevin. They provided the subjects and guidance for shooting each location. Will definitely continue traveling with Akari!

This was my first trip with Kevin. I have attended other workshops before, but experienced only teaching in the classroom and during critiques, then only toss out tips in the field. With students having various degrees of knowledge, instructors seem to settle somewhere in the middle for instruction. This wasn't the case with Kevin. He met people where they were at in their own photography skills. He was polite, tactful and very perceptive about coaching us where we needed help.

Great all round opportunities for iconic images. Small group a plus for shooting.

When I signed up, I had no idea of what I was getting myself into. This is the best trip I have ever taken. Kevin made it. He not only allowed us to spend time to get the right image but also with the local tour company introduced us to the people and culture. I have so many images that I know I would not get if not for this trip. I wish I could post some of them for you to enjoy.
