Find Your Next Photography Trip

We wanted to share Africa with our family and friends, and we knew Kevin Pepper and Akari Photo Tours would be ideal for our group. Kevin's travel and photo expertise made it a very smooth trip and included everything we had asked for and more. We did it all: Arusha Cultural Center, Shanga, Ngorongo Lookout, Olduvai Gorge, a Maasai village, luxury lodges, luxury tented camp, game drives in Ndutu, a sunrise balloon flight, bush flights, tiger fishing on the Rufiji River, and the one and only brewpub in Dar es Salaam... fantastic experiences everybody will remember the rest of their lives. Well done Akari!

Highly recommended for photography. The 11-day photography tour with Akari in Provence, France in July 2025 included the white horses of the Camargue, flamingos, bulls, lavender fields and many historic hilltop villages. They gave us high rubber boots for wading in the water, so we could photograph the beautiful white horses running towards us. Serge held me by the arm because I am almost 76 years old and the water can be muddy. This tour also included the historical villages of the nearby region. Serge and his wife Roz taste tested restaurants and selected only the best for us to eat at. Serge offers tours that are perfect for photographers and Roz organizes very elegant meals for sampling French cuisine.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Seabirds of Newfoundland Photo Workshop. The trip was very enjoyable, and I captured many wildlife photos that I will be able to use in my wildlife photography hobby/business. The tour exceeded my expectations for obtaining many quality photos of Puffins, and my photos of other seabirds and Humpback Whales are a great bonus!

Akari with Kevin Lisota and local expert guide Dennis provided us with excellent photo opportunities. The photography was challenging due to the low light, but I came away with many more "keepers" than I expected and am very pleased. We already have plans to travel with Akari in 2026.

Amazing trip! Go with this company!! HIGHLY recommended. I was lucky enough to participate BOTH Yellowknife (Sept) and Fairbanks (Feb) Northern light photo tours and both were excellent. I was very happy with accommodation and photography host's instructors. As always, learned lot and I improved my photo skills! Every night, our photo instructors reaching out to weather forecast, Northern lights forecasts and road conditions to bring best photo opportunity for us. Driving long distance, walking around snow cover area and encouraging us to find great spot for photographing middle of the nigh! Thank you for your hard work! Loved it every moment - I had SOOO much fun! Yes, I would go back again (both trips)!! I would highly recommend to others 100% plus! This was my first trip with Kevin. I have attended other workshops before, but experienced only teaching in the classroom and during critiques, then only toss out tips in the field. With students having various degrees of knowledge, instructors seem to settle somewhere in the middle for instruction. This wasn't the case with Kevin. He met people where they were at in their own photography skills. He was polite, tactful and very perceptive about coaching us where we needed help.
