Find Your Next Photography Trip

Highly recommended for photography. The 11-day photography tour with Akari in Provence, France in July 2025 included the white horses of the Camargue, flamingos, bulls, lavender fields and many historic hilltop villages. They gave us high rubber boots for wading in the water, so we could photograph the beautiful white horses running towards us. Serge held me by the arm because I am almost 76 years old and the water can be muddy. This tour also included the historical villages of the nearby region. Serge and his wife Roz taste tested restaurants and selected only the best for us to eat at. Serge offers tours that are perfect for photographers and Roz organizes very elegant meals for sampling French cuisine.

Kevin’s guidance completely changed how I photograph action, thanks to his coaching in the field, I came home with my best-ever images of the Camargue horses and a whole new level of confidence behind the camera.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Seabirds of Newfoundland Photo Workshop. The trip was very enjoyable, and I captured many wildlife photos that I will be able to use in my wildlife photography hobby/business. The tour exceeded my expectations for obtaining many quality photos of Puffins, and my photos of other seabirds and Humpback Whales are a great bonus!

I have gone on many photography workshops, and this was my first time with Akari. I will definitely go on other Akari tours. Top notch instruction, top notch scouting prior to the start of the workshop to know the animals' behaviors, territories, and best places to photograph them. Very attentive in the field to students' needs, fun, kind, and respectful of the various levels of knowledge and skill of the students in the group. With 3 leaders and 7 students, the quality of instruction and attention to detail was remarkable. And it was fun, what could be better!

This was my third trip with Akari and I look forward to more. I was lucky to add close-up wolves to my portfolio, and the icy snowy backgrounds of Yellowstone in Winter give a different feel than others I already have.
