Itinerary

  • This tour offers opportunities to photograph wildlife. We'll maximize our chances of encountering wildlife, but we want to remind you that we don't control wildlife and cannot guarantee encounters with particular species. Itineraries for wildlife trips are subject to change based on wildlife activity.

  • Day 1: Arrive in Tanzania

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) before 3:00 PM on this day. Air travel delays are possible, so please consider arriving early, possibly the day prior. We don't want you to miss out on trip activities. Airport transfer is included on arrival.

Transfer via a private vehicle to a small and exclusive inn. The inn is a charming country estate that was once an old coffee farm and still retains the nostalgic air of a well-loved homestead. With ten acres of fertile greenery, the grounds are a natural extension of Mt. Meru’s sloping foothills and offer a sanctuary for the birds and wildlife indigenous to the area.

  • Day 2–6: Safari in the Serengeti

On the morning of day two, we will catch our regional flight to the Seronera airstrip. Once you land, we will go on safari.

We will spend our time amidst the expansive plains of the Serengeti. This area features prime wildlife photography opportunities and fantastic sunset views of one of the most iconic locations for wildlife photography on the planet!

We will gather in the lounge area at night, conduct daily image reviews, and discuss wildlife photography techniques.

  • Day 7: Safari drive and departure

We have a flight back to Kilimanjaro today. We’ll have a chance for one final safari drive on the way to the airstrip. Once we return to Kilimanjaro airport, you will be transferred to an airport hotel where we have arranged a day room. You can repack your clothes and freshen up before your international flight home.

If you need to spend one more night, no worries, we can arrange that.

Book your departing flight no earlier than 7:00 PM on this day. Airport transfer is included on departure.

Accommodations

Each tent at our camp is equipped with running hot and cold water, a shower, flush toilets, electric lighting, outlets for charging and netted windows with 360-degree views of the natural world outside that can be closed for privacy.

Each tent has comfortable beds ready for you to rest and revive for the next day. Your tent also includes a desk, chair, and lounge area to sit, relax, or hang out. In addition to these amenities, guests can enjoy a private outdoor teak wood deck to unwind, breathe in the fresh air, and appreciate the Serengeti surroundings.
