Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Deer Lake
Arrive at Deer Lake Regional Airport (YDF) before 3:00 PM on this day. Air travel delays are possible, so please consider arriving early, possibly the day prior. We don't want you to miss out on trip activities. Airport transfer is included on arrival.
You touch down in Deer Lake, and we take care of the rest. A smooth pickup, a comfortable lodge, and a welcome dinner where everyone finally puts faces to names and excitement to the week ahead. It’s an easy start—good food, good conversation, and the quiet promise of extraordinary landscapes waiting just beyond tomorrow’s sunrise.

Day 2–3: Northern Gros Morne: Wild, vast, and unforgettable.
We begin in the north, where Gros Morne stretches out in sweeping fjords, ancient cliffs, and viewpoints that make you pause before lifting your camera. Golden hours here feel slow and generous, giving us time to teach, refine, and help you see scenes the way they deserve to be photographed. These are days built around grand landscapes, long looks, and that classic Newfoundland atmosphere—raw, dramatic, and beautifully unpredictable.

Day 4–5: Quirpon Island: Life at a lighthouse
Next, we move offshore to Quirpon Island and settle into the lighthouse keeper’s inn—a place that feels like it’s holding on to another era.
Sunrise comes with the sound of waves against the rocks, and just beyond the headland, icebergs drift through the mouth of Iceberg Alley like floating sculptures. Private zodiac tours take us right to the action: bergs, whales, and seabirds all performing on nature’s stage.

Day 6–7: Back to the North Shore’s fishing villages
The north shore rewards a second visit because no two days ever look the same. We return to its rugged coastlines and weather-worn fishing stages, shooting new light, new tides, and new moods. We spend more time at L’Anse aux Meadows, capturing its Viking history against shifting skies and Atlantic winds. It’s a chance to deepen the story you’re already building in your images.

Day 8–9: Southern Gros Morne: Earth, time, and texture.
The southern half of Gros Morne feels ancient and cinematic—golden Tablelands, mist-soaked tuckamore forests, and quiet inlets around Bonne Bay. Here we photograph everything from bold geological formations to intimate landscape details, shifting between sweeping vistas and small, powerful scenes. It’s a place that teaches patience and rewards curiosity, and we use these days to help you read light, manage contrast, and work with Newfoundland’s ever-changing weather.

Day 10: Return to Deer Lake
We wrap up with one final sunrise, one last coastal walk, breakfast, and a drive back to Deer Lake that always feels a little too soon.
We’ll host a final image review and farewell dinner. Cameras are full, hearts even fuller, and everyone leaves talking about the next adventure—because Newfoundland has a way of making you want just one more day.

Departure from Deer Lake Regional Airport (YDF). You can book your return flight for anytime this day. Airport transfer is included on departure.
